What if I need to cancel my event?
If your event needs to be canceled for any reason, you can take the following steps to ensure no further tickets are sold, and your existing customers receive notification of the cancellation.
1. Stop Sales.
To end ticket sales, go to the Overview page for the cancelled event. Simply click "Stop Sales."
If no tickets have been sold for the event yet, you can also head to the Overview page of your event, and click the 'Take it offline' button in the Status section to completely take the event offline.
2. Edit the event description.
On the Details page, scroll down to the Description section and click 'edit' to enter information regarding the event's cancelation, as well as any other information you'd like to be available.
Click 'Save' and you're good to go!
3. Send cancelation message through the Messages page.
If tickets have been sold for the event, and a message needs to be sent out to customers regarding the cancellation, you can do so through the Messages page! For more information on how to send messages, head to the article below: How do I email my ticket buyers?
